The CNC router is a machine that cuts out designs such as a maze. The CNC router can cut through many types of stock, from wood to foam. We used foam for our maze design. We had to sketch it out on inventor then transfer it to fusion to be able to print onto the CNC router. Printing we used our flashdrives to transfer out of fusion onto the computer that is connected to the Router.
Sketch out maze on inventor using designs of choice.
Use these directions to transfer onto fusion from inventor and to create the tool path.
Use directions to save and print onto the CNC Router.
Save and transfer onto fusion 360 to create the route the tool will take to cut out the maze.
Preview the route of the tool and make sure that everything will be cut out as planned.
Print out on the Router using the directions above
Finished maze off of the CNC Router
The CNC Router was an easy machine to work with and was very easy to set up. The Maze was a fun project to do even though it was frustrating at times. The maze was easy to design on inventor but was very frustrating to do on fusion 360 mostly because it was my first time using fusion, but it was hard to figure out. Once I had fusion figured out the rest of the project went smoothly and quickly. Overall a great project that will be fun to have at home considering I made it from a plan piece of foam.
